At The Science of Sound, we empower children aged 5-12 by providing enriching, sensory-based STEM activities that captivate curiosity and foster a lifelong passion for learning. 🎓✨
Our innovative programs support families 👨👩👧, schools 🏫, and communities 🌍 by offering accessible, hands-on educational experiences that go beyond traditional teaching methods. 🎛🔬
We believe that every child deserves access to valuable STEM activities, regardless of geographical 🌍, situational 🏡, or financial barriers 💰.
By supplementing the primary school curriculum 📖, we aim to become a flagship provider of STEM education 🚀, inspiring the next generation of scientists 🧪, leaders 👩💼, and innovators 💡.
🎤 During the COVID-19 pandemic, our founder Glenard Patnelli (also known as Kojo P 🎶, producer behind hits like Afro B’s “Joanna” & the Apple iPhone 15 track “Wow”) took on freelance roles in children's activity programs.
🔬 He quickly realised that STEM was highly engaging when presented in an interactive, sensory-rich way. With his love for science, acoustics, and early education, The Science of Sound was born!
📍 From One Location to Many – What started as a single holiday camp in Mitcham (St. Thomas of Canterbury) has now expanded to 10+ locations, reaching thousands of children 🎉.
🎛 Music Meets Science – Our background in sound technology has shaped our lesson plans, allowing children to experience science through sound, visuals, and hands-on activities.
At The Science of Sound, we go beyond traditional STEM education by integrating sensory learning and sound-based exploration into hands-on science experiences. Our workshops, clubs, and camps engage children in a dynamic, interactive way, making science fun, immersive, and unforgettable.
Unlike other STEM providers, we understand that children learn best through experience. Our sessions are high-energy, hands-on, and designed to spark curiosity, helping young learners connect science to the real world in exciting ways.
From term-time workshops to holiday camps, after-school clubs, and birthday parties, we offer varied, customisable programs for schools, parents, and communities. By providing flexible pickup and drop-off options for peace of mind, we make high-quality STEM education accessible, engaging, and convenient.
💡 We support:
In-school workshops, assemblies, and after-school clubs
Holiday camps, birthday parties, and childcare solutions
STEM Engagement initiatives for local organisations
🧑🏫 Our instructors provide tailored 1:1, 1:2, and small group support for SEND students to ensure every child can fully participate & enjoy learning.
🎪 We also run STEM community events to expand access to interactive science experiences for even more children!
